Actually, "homophones" are words with the same pronunciation, regardless of the spelling. The word in question is, yes, both homophone and homonym.spycygrl wrote:EDIT: AH! I just got it! For the record, that's a HOMONYM (not a HOMOPHONE). "Homophone" is a word that sounds the same, but is spelled differently. A "homonym" is a word that is spelled the same, but has a different meaning.

I guess the literal definition does include that, but I have more often heard "homograph" for the word in question, here. I merely mention it because use of "homophone" took me down the wrong path, at first, due to my narrow reading of the definition.Kawkowa wrote:Actually, "homophones" are words with the same pronunciation, regardless of the spelling. Ha! Yes...sorry about that. As I said, it was likely to my detriment on that level.Gamemastertips wrote:I appreciate your word Nazi-ism. You are really a inventor, gamemastertips. It's a brilliant one...

Re: Level 12
Glad you had fun. If you know what a homophone is, you would understand. I had to specify a country because certain elements of the puzzle differ across the globe. If you didn't have any extra trouble, don't pay any attention to it.dodo wrote:I ve just solved level 12 using the keys right in front of me.
